Acknowledgement

Every now and then its important to acknowledge a job well done. Could even be our own work !
Presently I would like to acknowledge a job well done by my friend Frank Rocamora of Port Salerno, Florida.  A life long fine carpenter, Frank created this beautiful circular wooden display for the front window of my gallery/studio space at the Fish House.  It is a masterpiece.  This photo shows Frank with his work before it was installed. It is perfect, and with much urging on my part,  Frank signed it underneath.  It is a gift of generosity of spirit as well, which also deserves acknowledgment.

So if you happen to notice this piece in my window, you will know its one of a kind, made by someone who is willing to take the time do make something beautiful, just for its own sake.

These small bolts of handwoven Fabric
await knotting and assembling into

the signature piece of the Weaving Studio
Tomorrow the first completed piece will appear

Spring Bloom

HERE We have the new white warp
all woven & blocked
Sitting on top of the loom
Waiting for the finishing

The loom has been emptied of the remnants
of all the old warps
A new one to follow
And below a Gift of a flower

blended together
this is the end, beginning and middle of the first warp
woven in the New Year of the Yang Water Dragon
filled with afternoon light
the strength to surrender
for peace

Getting Personal

Somehow, I have the impression that through blogging, ones personal, conversational voice is meant to emerge. For me, Elizabeth, this is a challenge and precious opportunity both, to write in first person.
Maybe descriptive narrative ...... So...today I am saying: in this moment I have a loose grasp on an illusory reality, smooth and even, like the blending of the mist and fog of this day.
